Are you interested in joining a collaborative studio, working with diverse clients throughout the northeast, while enjoying life in Maine? TJD&A, a leading landscape architecture and planning firm in Yarmouth, Maine, is seeking a candidate to expand our team of professionals.

As a diverse group of design professionals, we specialize in both large-scale planning projects and detailed site design.  We seek to have meaningful impact in the public realm while also creating inspired spaces for individuals to live, work, and play.  

Our staff of nine is composed of professionals with backgrounds in landscape architecture, community planning, public engagement, visual resource assessment, GIS analysis, 3D modeling, graphic design, and land-use permitting.  We are currently working on a management framework plan for Maine’s new National Monument, public park master planning and implementation, residential landscape architecture, streetscape design, and visual impact assessments throughout the northeast. 

Applicants should have a background in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Geography or related fields.  Familiarity with a variety of software is expected, proficiency in one or two is preferred.  Software includes, but is not limited to, Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, 3D Studio Max, Sketchup, Global Mapper, and ArcGIS.

Our studio provides a collegial, supportive, and fun work environment. As a small office, all team members are expected to be creative problem solvers, willing to explore new ideas and learn new skills. Team members need to have strong communication skills, both written and interpersonal.  Position requires travel with overnight stays.  Fieldwork often involves hiking and kayaking.  Candidates should have 1-3 years of experience.  We are a dog friendly office.
