The firm was invited to participate in the 1996 Annual Meeting in Los Angeles, this time illustrating potential improvements to the Los Angeles River. The resulting computer-generated presentation was used in a public relations campaign that led to the passage of a $300 million bond issue for the restoration of the river. TJD&A participated in a third community design charrette on the Chattahoochee River in Atlanta. The results were presented at the ASLA Annual meeting in November,1997 and reported in Landscape Architecture magazine in February, 1998.
